BioI've recently completed my degree and relocated from the Midwest to Salt Lake City to start my postdoctoral research. My scientific interests are varied and include everything from evolutionary theory to paleopathology. My research focuses on the recovery and analysis of ancient DNA, which allows me to address questions of population history, mortuary practices, and disease in ancient populations.
Outside of work, my major obsessions include martial arts (I currently train in Kali, JKD, MMA, BJJ and Silat), hiking, reading (anything from Jane Austin to sci-fi/fantasy), politics, and spending way too much money at IKEA.
